The
lighting for the unique law courts in Bordeaux was quite challenging
as we wanted to create a relatively uniform illumination of the Court
Rooms to help reinforce the architecture at night.
This required fairly gentle washing of light to each of the individual
structures from fixtures that had to be located such that they were
accessible for maintenance, whilst not spilling light beyond the curved
facades as this would have created unacceptable levels of spill light
and glare.
