acted as expert witnesses on behalf of the local authority for this
planning enquiry. In this particular case, the environmental impact
from street lighting and car headlamps was of particular consideration.
Detailed photometric calculations were carried out for both of these
lighting elements in order to ascertain the expected levels of light
trespass. Extensive research was conducted with regard to the light
output from car headlamps in order to be able to make sensible predictions
of the light spill from these sources.
