On the banks of Loch Lein this exquisite location is home to The Europe Hotel and Resort in Ireland. The spa complex is operated by ESPA and forms one of the largest projects of its kind in Europe. The lighting design has been closely coordinated with the interior designers Hirsch Bedner Associates and the result is one of intrigue and quality. dpa carefully considered the context in which the project was positioned and the impact and influence that natural light had on the site. The pallette of lighting techniques adopted drew inspiration from the environment beyond and coupled with the materials selected we were able to work the interplay of light and shadow.
