Scottish Exhibtion & Conference Centre, Glasgow

< Back

A refurbishment of the 1980s glazed concourse, by day the space responded to the varying external conditions. By night it was ‘monochromatic’ and the new lighting sought to provide both an architectural and visual dynamic.

Utilising indirect reflector technology, colour, light and shade, the scale of this large volume was both re-inforced and ‘broken down’ creating a more intimate scale. Below the large mezzanine areas backlit laylights and dynamic colour change was utilised to provide links to the natural conditions and extend the theatricality.
