lighting consultants were employed to provide technical guidance in
order to assist the M&E consultant, Mouchel Parkman, in realising
the lighting concept for this landmark structure.
Issues
such as glare, the surface temperature of luminaires and, of course,
the optical properties of the luminaires themselves were key design
concerns. A lighting trial was carried out in order to fine tune and
demonstrate lighting options. The use of colour filters was an important
component of the design concept and the trial was invaluable in the
selection of the final colour.
