dpa were commissioned to design a lighting scheme for this attractive pool room at a private residence in Hampshire. The darker ceiling has been lit using a fibre optic lighting system, which hints at a starlit sky. Maintenance of any luminaires over water always presents a problem, but long life and concealed fluorescent lamps have been used in wall recessed fixtures to uplight the roof light and prevent distracting reflections. One of the perimeter seating areas has been illuminated with small low voltage wallwash fittings and the other with backlit translucent panels therefore creating a different lighting scene in each space for the Client to enjoy. |
