Converted Monastery, Amalfi Coast, Italy

< Back

This converted Monastery sits majestically on a cliff on the Amalfi Coast in Italy. The images above show the suite and corridor lighting that has been carefully integrated into the fabric of the interior in a discreet and sympathetic way. Lighting is concealed within niches and behind seating to minimise viewing the light source. Integrated lighting to the mirror perimeter provides a unique chamfered detail (as with old church windows) to maximise the output of lighting to the face when using the mirror. Accent lighting to interior elements provide focal interest and contract.

Decorative table and wall lights and pendants complete the picture. Finally a simple lighting control system provides the residents with a number of lighting scenes to suit the desired ambience during the day and night.
