The Galaxy Bar, located on the 13th floor of the Hilton Hotel in Athens, is a unique and spectacular gathering point for anyone who is anyone in Athens. The bar consists of an interior space with an amazing panoramic view of the whole of Athens and in particular the Acropolis, an external verandah facing the Acropolis and a barbecue terrace. The interior lighting provides a dramatic visual experience, whilst maximising the external views. The use of vibrant pink light to horizontal glass slots in the enclosing wall is striking and balanced by a back lit Skyros marble wall. The bar itself, with its decorative fixtures and directional downlights, shimmers. The bar front is constructed of stacked glass, bottom lit providing a graduated glow from the bottom upwards. The ceiling is primarily a metal mesh panel, which has got a number of low voltage coloured lamps backlighting the material. |
