Working with Houben Design,
dpa carefully integrated the lighting equipment
into the interior fabric of this project. The crisp edged contemporary
design responds to its airport environment extremely well and a
sense of human scale is created using lighting elements at low level
such as large table lamps, illuminated desks and halo lighting.
The Atrium enjoys excellent daylight when available, transforming at night to an artificially lit volume. All the downlights are carefully organised in sympathy with the architectural rhythms and provide light where is it most needed. There is a sense of theatre rather than a bland overall wash which enhances the public areas and creates visual stimulation. |
