| The
Great Eastern Hotel refurbishment involved the ‘scooping
out’ of the middle of the building, relocating
the entrance and vertical cores, the construction of
three new floors at the roof level. Eleven new floors
were created in the middle of the building.
There
were also a number of listed interiors within the project
that provided further challenges for the design team.
dpa
worked closely with the architects and interior designers
to help produce a fully co-ordinated scheme throughout
all public areas of the hotel. The final project involved
both standard and custom designed luminaires. |
