At dpa we feel that lighting for Leisure environments presents us with a tremendous opportunity to appropriately enhance the character of a building or space, whilst ensuring that the lighting components are sympathetically integrated within the architecture and interior design. We strive to look beyond providing lighting solutions that solely concentrate on satisfying functional lighting criteria and aim to expand the boundaries of lighting design to enable us to bring out a particular personality within a building.

The quality, colour and direction of light is extremely important to the Leisure environment, on the one hand to provide a safe and comfortable space for people and on the other to stimulate a sense of energy and excitement. The varying lighting layers enable us to achieve installations that are both practical and flexible, therefore the end users can benefit from lighting scenes that can be activated according to specific activities or different times of the day.

The perception of our Clients plays a major role in determining the direction in which the lighting for their Leisure environments evolves. Lighting itself can bring to the project a sense of art, generate fun elements and can help to reinforce corporate identity or to simply highlight the intricate detailing of a small scale building.
