in the beautiful New Forest in Hampshire stands Careys Manor
Hotel, which has undergone major works with the addition
of 'Senspa'; a comprehensive Spa complex for guests who
are looking to indulge in a variety of treatments for the
body and soul.
The heart of this new spa facility lies in the Hydrotherapy
block, a double height volume that boasts a large hydrotherapy
pool. Blue underwater lighting enhances the stainless steel
lounger and bench within the pool, complimented by blue
fibre optic lighting within the spectacular central 'volcano'
Jacuzzi pool and contrasting the white light in the main
pool area. Fibre optic ceilings with two colours of cold
cathode allow a variety of cross fading colours throughout
the day, with simple IP rated recessed lamp downlights washing
the vertical surfaces and adding emphasis to columns and
other key features.
Fluorescent battens with candle light sleeves and neutral
density filters, have created warm inviting circulation
and seating areas without the need for expensive dimmable
ballasts and dedicated fluorescent dimmer racks and of course
being low energy and environmental in approach. A combination
of warm white and 'Incandescent' cold cathode and tungsten
lighting afford a flexible selection of scenes within the
relaxation rooms, the spa restaurant and the main swimming
pool.
The 'softlite' cold cathode, incandescent and low voltage
tungsten lamp sources within the treatment rooms are controlled
by Lutron Grafik Eye units providing the masseuse with 4
scenes to compliment and create the appropriate ambience
to compliment the various treatments.
