dpa lighting consultants are pleased to welcome a number of new colleagues within our offices in the UK and Dubai.

Mark Wendell Lontoc B.Sc. (Electrical Engineering) - joined dpa Dubai August 2007 as a Junior Designer. Previously, Mark worked on the Palm Jumeirah as a Quality Control Engineer.

Ma. Elena Aquino B.Sc. (Electrical Engineering) - joined the Dubai team in August 2007 as a Junior Designer.

Sergio Boccia MA (Lighting & Product Design) - joined dpa Dubai October 2007 as a Senior Designer. Prior to joining us Sergio worked in offices Milan and Beijing as Team Manager & Senior Designer where he gained a great deal of experience of working on many large scale international projects including Corporate Headquarters, Auditorium, Musuem and Private Residences.

Orlando Marques Arch MSc – joined the Dubai team in January 2008 as a Senior Designer. Orlando initially started his working career as an Independent Architect and Visual Artist. In 2002 he joined Franco & Fortes a Brazilian Lighting Design Office. In 2006 Orlando was awarded the “Alban Scholarship to Bartlett School, UK” and in 2007 IALD Award of Honor for the Museum of Portuguese Language, USA.

Andreas Ejhed BSc (architecture) - joined dpa Oxford in 2007 as a Senior Designer. Prior to joining us Andreas worked in Stockholm as Senior Designer on a diverse range of lighting projects as well as research projects and education.

Fiona Kischka (MA Interior Design) started working for dpa as a lighting design Intern in September 2007 as part of her Master course of architectural lighting design in Wismar, Germany. At the beginning of this year Fiona joined the Oxfordshire office in a permanent position as Lighting Designer.

Osamu Tomita has joined our Oxfordshire team. Osamu is working with us on secondment from MJS Tokyo until summer this year.

Sotirios Stamatopoulos BEng, Dip (Energy Technology for Sustainable Development) - joined the dpa Oxfordshire November 2007 as a Designer. Prior to joining dpa, Sotirios worked in Athens as Lighting Designer and Product Designer, working on a diverse selection of projects ranging from private residences to heritage monuments and corporate headquarters, gaining extensive experience in custom solutions and complex lighting schemes.

Su Won, Cho M.Sc (Light & Lighting) - joined dpa London June 2007 as a Designer. Prior to joining us, Su graduated the Bartlett and worked as a Lighting and Interior Designer in Seoul where she had work experience on various projects including some international projects in Dubai and China.

Nick MacLiammoir MSc (Light and Lighting) – joined dpa London in January 2008 as an Associate. Previously Nick had spent many years as a theatre lighting designer working with companies all over Europe. Moving into architectural lighting in 1998, Nick worked has worked on a wide range of projects from urban Master Planning to restaurants, hotels, theatres and corporate developments.

Charlotte Cantillon (MA Interior Architecture & Post grad Furniture Design) graduated in June 2007, joined dpa London in 2007.

Jörg Frank Seemann (MA Lighting Design, Dipl. Reg.) joined dpa London in January 2008 as a freshly graduated Lighting Designer from the Stockholm KTH. He worked prior as a stage director and designer on variety of projects over the last 10 years.
