dpa were delighted to win the commission to light the interior spaces of this property companies headquarters. An exciting and visually transparent entrance lobby and stair volume were created which leads to a communal meeting, cafe and bar space at first floor level.

The lighting was designed to enhance the image of CBRE showing a quality space that reflected their own business philosophy. Carefully integrated lighting elements were developed with the rest of the team to emphasise points of interest and articulate the space. The staircase, with it's louvred wall, creates a visually exciting backdrop to the lobby lit from above. the lounge, cafe / bar area has a more domestic scale and the lighting here is designed to provide both a touch of theatre and an appropriate atmosphere for informal gatherings. At night the bar changes colour through the use of cold cathode, providing another dynamic to the room.
