The
National Insurance Building in Athens was designed by one of the world’s
most recognised architects Mario Botta in association with Irena Sakellaridou,
Athens. dpa lighting consultants in collaboration
with The Client called for an integrated approach where the lighting and architecture was unified with clean lines and minimal impact of luminaires. A variety of ceiling and wall slots were introduced to conceal lighting elements and to reinforce the strong geometric lines of the interior. The glass bridge linking office spaces was edge lit with concealed T5 fluorescent battens, creating a dramatic crossover. Photography:
