Lighting Designer – Mandarin speaking

We are currently looking for a Lighting Designer in London/rural Oxfordshire with some international lighting consultancy exposure.

Good working knowledge of InDesign, AutoCAD, Photoshop, lighting calculation software and language skills in Mandarin are a requirement for this post. Written and spoken English must be to a very high standard and include a significant vocabulary of design and technical lighting.

Duties and responsibilities would include, but not limited to, working within a team environment to produce concept and detailed design packages, including Autocad plans and design details, specifications and schedules, build mock-ups, prepare sketch design proposals and liaise with architects, interior designers, and equipment suppliers.

Work with other independent international lighting consultants would be beneficial, including time on site for final lighting set ups. Attendance at International Light Fairs, conferences, lectures and other relevant activities would also beneficial to applicants.

The candidate must be able to present a portfolio of work that demonstrates both creative and technical knowledge and skills associated to lighting design.

Salary: £25,000.00 / per annum.

LIGHTING DESIGNER – Oxfordshire and Dubai studio 

We are currently looking for a Lighting Designer in our Oxfordshire and Dubai Studio.

The role will involve being part of a design team and providing support in the production of concept presentations, layout drawings and details, specifications etc. Opportunity to progress within the company exists.

Remuneration will be commensurate with experience and includes bonus opportunities. The Dubai position enjoys a tax free environment subject to personal taxation circumstances. 

Applicants should have excellent AutoCAD and Photoshop skills, an understanding of InDesign, Visualisation programmes and other packages would be advantageous.  Excellent written and spoken English is also essential.

An Associate should have a minimum of eight years experience in independent professional lighting design. Successful candidates will be able to demonstrate excellent creative, technical, commercial, project management and communication skills. You will be expected to lead a team of designers and head up a variety of projects where you will be involved from the initiation of the work to its completion.
Applicants will be expected to show examples of their completed work where their input to the project has been extremely significant.


senior designers

Senior Designers will have a minimum of four years experience in independent professional lighting design. As well as creative and technical skills, you will need excellent knowledge of relevant software packages, which should be clearly illustrated in your CV. Senior Designers will work within a team, but should have the ability to run some projects from inception to completion themselves. We are looking for progressive designers with ambition to fill these positions.



Designers from graduate level to those with some direct lighting design experience will be considered for the various positions currently available. Excellent knowledge of relevant software packages including AutoCAD is essential.

Designers will show creative abilities with a desire to progress within the field of lighting design. Technical knowledge would also be an attribute, but progressive designers who show an ability to learn would be strongly considered.

You will be part of a design team that will help your development and progress as well as providing specific education within the Practice.



Successful candidates should have knowledge of using AutoCAD or similar. Design training/experience using Photoshop, InDesign and PowerPoint would also be desirable but not essential.
