The Cooz Bar is a recent refurbishment in the Grand Hyatt Hotel, Dubai. This was a particularly challenging project as the whole refurbishment had to take place during the one month of Ramadan. The interior designers, HLA had taken a quite different approach to the existing hotel interior and presented some very interesting opportunities for lighting. The interior was to create a more intimate space by a careful choice of finishes, and the lighting had to play these up to the best effect.

Integrated fixtures, fibre optics, backlighting of onyx panelling, highlighting of features together with pre programmed lighting scenes come together to create and inviting space in what has proved to be, a very popular venue in Dubai.
