We are delighted to announce that dpa has been shortlisted for three awards in the Restaurant & Bar Design Awards 2015.
The Perfectionists’ Café, London Heathrow Terminal 2 has been shortlisted in the ‘Restaurant in a Transport Space’, and Market Kitchen at Le Meridien Hotel Abu Dhabi, and Mint Leaf of London, Dubai have been shortlisted in the ‘Lighting Scheme’ category.
Results will be announced on 1st October 2015.

Richard started with the Practice in 1996 and has been instrumental in the development of dpa over the last 19 years. Richard has successfully led teams working on a wide cross section of projects globally. Projects such as Charterhouse School Chapel Surrey, Hilton Hotel Athens, Belgrave House London, Wolfson Dining Hall at St. Edmund Hall Oxford, ESPA at The Europe Hotel Killarney Ireland, H&M Flagship Store Melbourne and Jesus College Dining Hall Cambridge, reflect the creativity and technical excellence Richard brings to his work.
Nick Hoggett one of the established Partners of the Practice said, “Richard’s development from Architect with no lighting design experience to Partner in the Practice is a proud moment for us. I have worked closely with Richard for the last 19 years and I am really pleased that he has now become a Partner and will continue to be instrumental in the development and future of our business”.
Ingo Kalecinski, Senior Designer in dpa‘s london studio, together with a collective of other designers with a passion for light set up GNI projects, a team committed to creating innovative and experimental installations with light.
As part of the UNESCO International Year of Light 2015, GNI and nine other high profile international artists were invited by Light Collective to create a piece for ‘Lumieres: The Play of Brilliants’, which is currently being held at the Elephant Paname Gallery in Paris.
