Senior lIGHTING DESIGNER – London studio

We are looking for a creative and technically knowledgeable Senior Lighting Designer to join our studio in London. Excellent written and spoken English is essential. Candidates should have a wide portfolio of work including hospitality projects (interior and exterior). IT skills must include Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, InDesign, Photoshop and DIALux. Knowledge of BIM/Revit would be beneficial but not essential.

Duties and responsibilities would include, working within a team environment to produce concept presentations and detailed design packages, including AutoCAD plans and design details, specifications and schedules, building mock-ups, and liaising with architects, interior designers and equipment suppliers. Attending design, site meetings, and final set-ups in the UK and overseas, supervising the work of lighting designers within the studio and contributing creatively and technically to projects, including research where appropriate.

Only applicants with professional independent lighting design experience will be considered. Candidates must be able to present a portfolio of work that demonstrates both creative/technical knowledge and skills associated to lighting design.

Remuneration will be commensurate with experience and includes bonus opportunities.

lIGHTING DESIGNER – OXFORDSHIRE studio (RURAL LOCATION – CAR REQUIRED)

We are currently looking for a Lighting Designer to join our studio in Clifton, Oxfordshire. The role will involve being part of a design team and providing support in the production of concept presentations, layout drawings, details and specifications etc. with the opportunity to progress within the Practice. We will consider both graduate level candidates and applicants with some lighting design experience.

Applicants should have AutoCAD and Photoshop skills. An understanding of InDesign, Visualisation programmes and other lighting related packages such as DIALux. BIM/Revit experience would also be advantageous but not essential. Excellent written and spoken English is essential.

Remuneration will be commensurate with experience and includes bonus opportunities. Please note that our Oxfordshire Studio is in the rural hamlet of Clifton, therefore candidates would need a car to travel to the office as there is no public transport available.

ASSOCIATES

An Associate should have a minimum of eight years experience in independent professional lighting design. Successful candidates will be able to demonstrate excellent creative, technical, commercial, project management and communication skills. You will be expected to lead a team of designers and head up a variety of projects where you will be involved from the initiation of the work to its completion.
Applicants will be expected to show examples of their completed work where their input to the project has been extremely significant.

senior designers

Senior Designers will have a minimum of four years experience in independent professional lighting design. As well as creative and technical skills, you will need excellent knowledge of relevant software packages, which should be clearly illustrated in your CV. Senior Designers will work within a team, but should have the ability to run some projects from inception to completion themselves. We are looking for progressive designers with ambition to fill these positions.

DESIGNERS

Designers from graduate level to those with some direct lighting design experience will be considered for the various positions currently available. Excellent knowledge of relevant software packages including AutoCAD is essential.

Designers will show creative abilities with a desire to progress within the field of lighting design. Technical knowledge would also be an attribute, but progressive designers who show an ability to learn would be strongly considered.

You will be part of a design team that will help your development and progress as well as providing specific education within the Practice.

JUNIOR DESIGNER/CAD OPERATOR

Successful candidates should have knowledge of using AutoCAD or similar. Design training/experience using Photoshop, InDesign and PowerPoint would also be desirable but not essential.
