dpa, in association with Virgile & Stone, have designed the lighting scheme for Harrods new Rooms of Luxury. The lighting complements the historically important architectural fabric of the rooms while providing functional lighting that articulates the merchandise on display.

The individual brands provided the display lighting to the shop fit-outs, working harmoniously with the architectural lighting layers to produce a visually stimulating result. Metal halide lighting in warm white colour temperature ensures that high efficiency energy sources are used without sacrificing light quality.

Layers of concealed warm white linear uplighting to the soffit as well as lighting to individual architectural details provide a further base level of ambient lighting, while further stimulating visual interest to the sales area.
